In 2009, I was refused an extension of my visa under Tier 1 due to non-compliance with the so called "maintenance fund" clause, the arbitrary £800 limit, despite the fact that I work as a surgeon in the NHS, had a great job and had saved up £30,000 in premium bonds. The UKBA of course refused to accept that as proof and refused the application. I then sent several months and haemorrhaged tremendous amounts of hard earned money in bad legal advice.

It was only when I got fed up with the legal team that I came across Advisa Solicitors as they had dealt with a similar case involving funds saved in Premium Bonds. I contacted Adam and he was very forthcoming, gave me advice over several emails and sounded confident that the case could be over turned. Switching solicitors was the best decision I took.

Adam explored every angle of the case thoroughly, appeared to be extremely confident and within a matter of weeks, I was allowed a visa. I finally got my life back (quite literally, life was on hold for the best part of a year of uncertainty).

A year and a bit passed since and I needed to apply for ILR, without hesitation I contacted Adam again asking him to take on the case as a previous refusal might have been a complicating factor. But as expected, Adam did it swiftly.

Dealing with Advisa Solicitors has been an absolute pleasure. Adam was extremely friendly and helpful throughout my ordeal and just a few detailed discussions with him about the case were enough to reassure me that it's in the best possible hands.

My only regret - not coming across Advisa Solicitors sooner. But then again, all's well that ends well. Thank you Adam, you're a life-saver.

When my initial switching from Post-study work visa to Tier 1 (General), refused on the basis of self-employed invoices verification and had been accused of using deception by UKBA. I was utterly devastated, and desperately seeking a good immigration solicitor, who could overturn my 10 years UK ban.
 
I contacted Advisa Solicitors online and got a reply within couple of hours, explaining the appeal procedure and list of evidence required for the hearing.  After my first meeting with Adam, I was fully satisfied and confident about my case, and by time we received the hearing date I had more than required evidence to argue in court.
Finally, judge allowed the appeal and today I received my passport with visa stamped.

I was in a state of great shock when I applied for my Post Study Work visa and got rejected due to the maintenance ground which was a requirement to get the sufficient points as per the new rules.

I would like to take the opportunity to say Thank you for your help in obtaining my indefinite leave to remain. As we both knew it was a very complex case, you gave me the confidence from the beginning that there were avenues that you could exhaust to win the case. Although at that time I felt like the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off. Mr. Adam Reid of Advisa Solicitors has lodged a Judicial Review in the High Court on my behalf: My application for Tier 1 leave was refused in September 2008 for reasons relating to maintenance funds. As I was a UK work permit holder applying from within Britain, I was denied appeal, so I was advised by Mr. Reid that I had an arguable case to take the Tier 1 team to the High Court. 

It has been an extremely rewarding experience, as Mr. Reid has acted not only with utter professionalism but also with meticulous dedication to the case at hand. He has taken me through all the steps and all the possible outcomes, explaining to me as I enquired, often repeatedly, about all the details. Not once has his assessment been gratuitously optimistic and he would not at all hesitate to tell about the challenges that my case faced throughout the process. He has been very transparent in the process, making sure that I understood every single step by keeping me abreast of every small development no matter how insignificant it was, simplifying for me the legal jargon at times. He was always accessible and prompt in replying to my queries, sometimes liaising with me on weekends, though he was neither obliged nor expected to.

Finally, Mr. Reid had urged me to go ahead with a certain option though the alternative would have been financially profitable for him: He would gain nothing from the option that was best suited to my interest and he still kept this interest catered for.

The outcome of the case was positive and I have been awarded the Tier 1 leave. I would most certainly resort to Advisa Solicitors in any immigration matter concerning me, and I would highly recommend them to anyone with such issues. I'm very happy & delighted to write this email as we've received our Tier1 Visa, at last - after 3.5 months!!
 
Myself and my wife are very thankful to god first and then thank Lisa Amin with whom we got this visa applied. We did not meet Lisa so far and all our communication was happening just over phone and mails and Lisa is patient enough in reading my big mails and respond as soon as possible. 
 
My friends suggested me to apply for this visa on my own but I didn't want to take chances and then a good friend of mine recommended Lisa. Though my case was not very complex, I believe it would've been a different result today had I applied on my own as there are some important things that professionals like Lisa would be aware of and that matters a lot. She used to compile all the documents sent, prepare covering letter and used to send to me also to validate it from my end. So, there's 100% transparency on our case and we know how strong our application is going to be and the chances of getting positive result.
 
I had some part of my previous earnings from New Zealand and some earnings from UK, and to meet the Maintenance Funds, I had to pool my home country multiple bank accounts and also use 3 UK bank accounts and it would've been quite challenging for one to project this in easily readable format for Home Office to understand and Lisa Amin has rightly executed the job there by making complex things simple - 'short & sweet' summary of previous earning & maintenance funds. 
 
We've applied during last week of Jan'09 and it took more than 3 months to get the visa. I think its because of all the different countries bank statements etc. which made my application consume more time, but the covering letter prepared by Lisa has really made the difference I think. Thanks a TON Lisa.
 
I have already recommended Advisa to a friend who has started his process through Lisa and would continue to recommend.

I just wish to let you know how grateful I and my family are with all the work and great attention which was put into my aunts case by Adam Reid. 

After many failed attempts of getting my aunts appeal approved we had lost all hope of ever getting the result we wanted. This was a very complicated case which was for a visitor’s visa to London. I came across your site by chance and we only had a few days left to put in an appeal, and I was not initially going to make another appeal after being disappointed so many times before. 

But I don’t now why I just felt that I should try again, maybe 3rd time I might get somewhere. So I email advisa ASAP giving you a brief summery of the case. You got back to me and we arranged a meeting. You explained all the legal matters and my chance of having the case approved.

After that the appeal was made and I was always kept informed of all that was happening. I was happier with the fact that every time I had a question about the case I would email Adam and he would always reply. And then finally when the case got to court, a hundred and one thinks were going through my mind. All I could think of was I don’t want the case to fail again as I could not face telling my aunt and here children that the case was not approved again. 
 
But to my shock the case was approved on the day of the hearing by the judge. I could not believe it had finally happened.  The appeal was approved. I had a smile on my face for many days after. And the joy of telling the family is beyond words.

I can’t thank Adam enough as I could not have done this without him. I would recommend him to anyone, and in fact I already have.

Finally, we would like to thank you for your help in getting Rita's entry clearance refusal decision overturned. We had been informed by other solicitors that the refusal decision, based on previous immigration history, would not be overturned and that we should apply directly for an appeal hearing. Advisa's process of requesting a review of the decision independently to the notice of appeal is a service not provided by other companies. The request for a review of the decision was well constructed, responding to the grounds for refusal with legal arguements and supporting documents. This, together with our perseverance in obtaining a response from the Entry Clearance Manager, including help from our local MP, resulted in the decision being overturned without the need for an appeal hearing and Rita being home to enjoy a family Christmas and New Year.

My Advisa testimonial

I married my Algerian husband in October 2007. We applied for his settlement visa in January 2008 which was refused. I found the whole system very confusing and not an easy process to understand.
